Chandra Moyer is a sought-after speaker, author, life coach, and decorated former Army officer. For three decades, she has empowered women through speaking, books, coaching, conferences, healing retreats, and workshops. She is the recipient of the FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award for her child trafficking prevention work. Chandra is the author of the novel I Met Her Before and the memoir Tragically Taken.
Chandra is “four times” military: an Army Veteran, Army spouse, Air Force brat, and Air Force mom. Her trailblazing spirit began as the first in her immediate family to graduate from college and the first female cadet corps commander in the history of Norfolk State University. Chandra received numerous awards, including the General George C. Marshall Award and Brigadier General Roscoe Cartwright Scholarship Award.
A survivor of incest and complex trauma, Chandra shares her story to empower and inspire women to overcome obstacles to be the best version of themselves. She is passionate about social justice and helping others find freedom through hope and healing.
After her recovery, she became a healer, leading others out of the darkness and into the light. As an ordained minister, Chandra launched a ministry to help other abused women. Her healing prayer ministry has taken her to the Philippines, South Korea, Uganda, Tanzania, and Israel.
As former founder and CEO of one of the first anti-trafficking organizations in her region, Chandra trained thousands on child trafficking prevention, including law enforcement, educators, healthcare professionals, social workers, and universities. She is the recipient of the FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award for her child trafficking prevention work.
A wanderlust at heart, Chandra has traveled broadly to over 40 states and 20 nations. Meeting people from all over the world is the most rewarding part of her travels. A mother of three adult children, she loves spending time with her growing family and grandbabies. Chandra lives in Suffolk, VA, with her husband TP and fur baby Nyla.
"It was an absolute honor to host Chandra as our guest speaker at Christopher Newport University (CNU) Shadow Event. She is a dynamic speaker and bravely shared her story of overcoming sexual abuse. She inspires others to move from fear to freedom." –Rosemary Trible, First Lady of CNU
