These are scary and unsettling times for military families. With the Russian invasion of Ukraine, many U.S. soldiers are deploying and will leave behind loved ones.
We have family and friends already feeling the impact of the war, and it's just beginning.
I remember how frightened I was years ago when the Gulf war started and later when my son deployed to Afghanistan. Fear and uncertainty can disrupt your life.
Yet, I turned to God. I held onto the scripture He gave that my son would return home safe.
Then it was as if God put me in a peace bubble while my son was away. And there's no other way to describe it other than the supernatural.
Military life can be very stressful on families. Frequent moves, multiple deployments, long work hours can negatively impact service members and their family's mental health.
If you know a service member, reach out and check on them. Remind them that you care.
Please pray for protection for our military, their families, and the Ukrainian people.
"You will keep all who trust in you in perfect peace, all whose thoughts are fixed on you." Isaiah 26:3
